Welcome to Bangkok Academy of Music studio in the expatriate town of Thailand.

 

Our experienced and passionate music teachers create a positive and encouraging environment for students of all ages. We offer customized lessons on a variety of instruments, including Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone, Oboe, Piano, Vocal, Violin, Cello, Ukulele, Guitar, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium, Drums. We also provide music theory instruction.

Registration

• We accept students from recommendation only and give priority to families that live in the community.

• Registration will be considered after meeting with the parent, talking about expectation and having a trial lesson to assess your child's readiness in taking music lessons at our studio.

Rates

Tuition fee includes much more than the lesson time our teachers spend with each student. (Preparing for each unique lesson, purchasing selective books and repertoires, worksheets, good quality music instruments, equipment and maintenance, planning for recitals, memberships in professional organisations that provide educational, performance and competition opportunities for our students and so much more!). Tuition fee does not include the Trinity College London, ABRSM music exam registration fee, some materials such as clarinet/saxophone reeds or accessories, instrument repair, ensemble or group classes, additional piano accompaniment services, recital and music competition fees.

Payment Policies

• Tuition fee is payable 10 lessons in advance by bank transfer and is valid for 12 weeks from the first lesson of each package. 

• We usually send out receipt/invoice on the last lesson of each package. 

• Payment must be made no later than the first lesson of each package.

• Payment not received by the due date will be charged a late fee of 100 Baht per day.

• More than 30 days late payment will result in suspension of lessons until received in full.

• Paid tuition fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.

• Persistent issues with delayed payment and communication may result in termination of services.

Important Policies and Information​

• Please remember that music instruction is most effective when it is consistent.

• If for any reason student cannot have a lesson, please notify within 24 hours prior to absence.

• Any students that fail to give appropriate notice will still be charged for the lesson they missed.

• Please drop-off and pick-up your child on time.

• The reproduction of video recordings and photos of students in lesson-related promotional material become the property of the studio and can be used in an appropriate/positive way. 

• At the discretion of the teacher, a student will be dismissed from the schedule for the following reasons; excessive absences or tardiness, inappropriate or disrespectful behaviour, lack of motivation and progress.

• However, it is understood that everyone stops taking lessons at some point. The decision to end lessons should be made with careful consideration and discussion between parent, student, and teacher so lessons can end positively. With this in mind, a two-week notice in writing is required or will be provided by the party seeking to discontinue the lessons.

• Please understand that our teachers travel a long distance from different parts of Bangkok and are well prepared to teach your child. We retain the right to terminate lessons with a student or guardian of student who does not respect the teacher's time, effort and hard work.

• We are open during the summer break but closed throughout the winter holidays.
